even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise.

I think it's safe to say I enjoyed this movie. A lot. I've seen it three times already. While the movie as a whole was spectacular, I felt like Anne Hathaway (Fantine) and Samantha Barks (Eponine) really stole the show. I did not enjoy Russell Crowe as Javert, but Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean was a very good choice. Best part? Colm Wilkinson as the Bishop - especially when he welcomes Jean Valjean into heaven. Full circle, guys. Full circle. Moral of the story: I will buy it.

Christmas needs to really hurry itself up and get here. This movie seriously looks all kinds of amazing. When the preview has me in tears, the movie has to be great, right?

the king has returned

remember this post?

Last night we saw The Lion King. It was the very first movie I saw in theaters, and was just as spectacular on the big screen yesterday as it was when I was five. It always has been and always will be my favorite movie. It's only in theaters for two weeks. Hurry and go see it.

Last night I saw the preview for the re-release of The Lion King in theaters.
I squealed like a little girl seeing kittens for the first time.
I am not ashamed.
